Approximately 200 people were present.

In his remarks, Ambassador Gong stated that the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship has inspired students to learn the Chinese language and Chinese culture, and will help them grow into messengers committed to carrying forward and developing China–Hungary friendship. He noted that China–Hungary relations are currently at their best level in history, and that with the steady advancement of practical cooperation, there is an increasing need for professionals who are proficient in Chinese and familiar with Chinese culture. He encouraged students to pursue further studies in China when opportunities arise and to become pillars of China–Hungary cooperation.

Bodrogi spoke positively of the achievements in educational cooperation between the two countries, noting that the Tempus Public Foundation will continue to promote mutual exchanges of students between Hungary and China, cultivate talent for bilateral practical cooperation and people-to-people friendship, and inject vitality into bilateral relations. Hao Qingxin, Academician and Hungarian Director of the Confucius Institute at Eötvös Loránd University, recalled his own early experience of studying in China and noted that China’s development is remarkable and that one can see the future of the world in China. He expressed the hope that more Hungarian young people would learn the Chinese language and gain a deeper understanding of China. Ru Rao, Principal of the Hungarian–Chinese Bilingual School, stated that the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship motivates students to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture, and plants the seeds of China–Hungary friendship in the hearts of young people.
